Pureology Strength Cure
There are so many hair products out right now that use the terms rescue, damage or repair and I’ve used a lot of them without noticing any kind of difference. So I was skeptical when Pureology’s Strength Cure collection showed up. I’ve never used Pureology before and I don’t have particularly damaged hair so I didn’t have any kind of expectations. I don’t colour my hair, don’t use a lot of heat on my hair, but my frizz is unmanageable in any kind of humidity. Pureology claimed my hair would be 97% stronger after one use of the system.

The first thing I noticed was how much thicker the shampoo is compared to others. It still couldn’t be mistaken for conditioner but the texture was definitely different from what I’d been using. By the time I was done with the shampoo and conditioner I noticed a huge difference on how strong my hair felt wet.

I used the Strength Cure Fabulous Lengths on it’s own as a styling product just to see how my hair reacted in general to the line. It was pretty easy to comb through, no knots or tangles and when it dried it wasn’t crunchy and my hair ended up in pretty nice waves. It didn’t however get rid of the frizz so I’ll probably mix it with something else next time.

The only thing I didn’t like about Pureology’s Strength Cure line was the scent. It’s a weird powdery banana/coconut scent, probably meant to be somewhat tropical, but it really doesn’t work for me. If my hair is going to keep feeling stronger, I can get over the scent. It’ll be interesting to see how strong my hair can get.
